Some Type of Wonderful
For this project I was asked to do a poster that somehow had something to do with the month October, and with typography. The image is done in 3 layers, but everything kind of blends together. In the background there is a distorted landscape image that I worked from a photograph that I took on my island, Hrisey, last October. On top of that, using the shapes from the illustration, I wrote the name of the month with big transparent letters. Then in the foreground I drew thin white letters, also built by using the grid below. They spell out what the dictionary told me about October; "The month following September and preceding November."
